A Safe Place

A safe place

Is not necessarily

A place made of bricks and steel.

A safe place can be anywhere

With anyone

An ‘Anam Cara’

A secluded cabin in a heart

A sanctuary of deep calm

Caim of the soul

A space place is where we’re our best

We’re inspired

We’re unafraid and unchained

Safe is an oasis of warmth

A state of bliss

Deep and unending reverence

For the things beyond

Precious musings about love and life

A sense of acceptance and awareness

The absence of a need to change or control

Any aspect of the outside of us

A safe place could be in the arms of our beloved

Or it could be in the gaze of our mother

Safe could be a beautiful garden

Or it could be in the words of a wise monk

What makes us truly and effortlessly ourselves

Is the safe place

Somewhere we need to find

Or someone we can chose to be.
