A Portrait In Words

By Jennifer Minhaj

In fields of blue and gold,

A tormented soul, a troubled mind.

A man with a brush and palatte

Left us beauty, one of a kind.

The starry night, the sunflowers bold,

In vibrant hues, his stories are told.

He painted beauty,love and form

The reflections of his heart.

A masterpiece, a timeless art.

Though a tragic end to life lived in pain.

Death, amidst the field of grains.

His art endures, his legacy remains

A witness to his wondrous skill,

Vincent Van Gogh, an aesthetic thrill.
