A Mother…

Tonight a mother stutters distressed,

“I’m scared you’d do something to yourself if left unsupervised!”

But who knows where her daughter is?

She wonders how she’s offered nothing but love and care

Yet, she’s lost her girl somewhere.

Well for starters,

She doesn’t know how the sunlight has been a waking hell for the girl,

Or how her nightmares, as monstrous as they are,

She’d rather dream than wake up.




The girl doesn’t love anymore,

Her undefined pain has been rather agonising

For what truly aches is not knowing what hurts.

Finally, the only question that devours her mind:

Whether to face the ground

Or the sky

Before she makes her final leap…
