A Morbid Romance

Updated: Jul 28

By Vidhutma Singhania

The fleeting moments

that gently graze my self,

have all been infused

with the colors of blue.

Some stains that spare me

of any brightness

that could pass through

this fabric of time.

So, my less conscious self

seek the warm Sun

through a sight

physically blinded by darkness.

I don’t walk,

not move at all

hoping the distance

will pass itself.

I’m certain, the stains

cannot be washed out.

I’m certain, the ache

has created its homes.

Therefore,

I decide to welcome it

like an old friend,

when on the threshold

of my heart, it stands.

We’ll finally sit down

with some whiskey in our hands

& reminisce our days together,

rekindling our morbid romance.
