I awoke the other day

and couldn’t move

My eyes wouldn’t open, limbs frozen

I could hear a low rumbling,

something displeased

I think of my face, rewatch a video

I look like someone only talked about in remembrance

I must’ve missed a fatal collision

There’s an ache in my head that goes and comes

A low rumbling,

something displeased

Tendrils wrapped around my ribs,

it festers beneath
