A Little Courage

The mirror never lied

It always showed beauty.

But since the beholder was I

The judge and the critic,

the big fat lie, snowballed.

and unseen truth

took a little courage to divulge.

It is not about how the mirror sees you,

but about how you see you.

Not as a reflection but in introspection

And that is when I saw beauty

in the mirror of my own mind.
