A Letter To My Son

By Mrinalinee

Dearest Piu,

Time, energy and resources are limited and valuable. We must make the best and optimum utilization of everything.

God is great and he sees all. If he denies us something, there has to have divine protection in that. (In the three decades of life, I have experienced it.)

We must persevere and preserve ourselves and treat us respectfully, so that we may give our best to the world.

The world needs our gifts. Respect it, cherish it, hone it and polish it.

Also, you can’t make someone who they are not.

If a person is extremely egoist and insecure, you can’t save them from it.

We can’t make a lazy person smart by telling them or motivating them.

Sure, we can use motivating words, but the choice has to be made by them and constantly worked upon. Otherwise our words just fall on deaf ears.

They have to work on themselves.

Life is the greatest teacher and it humbles all of us. When we operate at our best, in the highest possible order, things start aligning.

Miracles do happen. As Professor Dumbledore said, “For the greater good.”

A penny saved is penny gained. Time is the most precious resource. We must direct it and channelize it so that it benefits people and society at large.

While doing anything, think about the “Why” of it.

Why am I doing this? Why is it happening? Why am I choosing a particular situation or attracting similar people in different face and bodies?

If the answer doesn’t feel good or satisfactory, change it.

Make different choices, better choices. You have the POWER. Remember it.

Because, at the end of the day, we are our choices.

We live with the consequence of our choice.

All my love,

Maa
