How broken were you when we first met? Alive with a wounded soul, tears streaming red. Walking with you, footsteps delayed, You found me every time I tried my best to fade. I said, “Let the stars take on the night”, So we could dance away in that hypnotizing twilight. Aesthetic rhythms and cloudy skies, With the moon reflecting in your distant eyes.

As the raindrops fell, our souls entwined, Making me love your concealed flaws over time. Wished, I did, for a lifetime of daze and bliss, As we locked lips and i stole away a passionate kiss. How much longer did we have, I needed to know Not much longer you told me, as time never went slow. Your secret I knew yet never believed, For I couldn't imagine you'd ever have to leave. It seemed like a twisted tale of Beauty and the Beast, But I was by you for ages at least, For while telling this story I recall, I promised to be with you till the last petal falls.
