A Dreamer's Monologue

I drown in my dreams as I drift into sleep

Like gentle waters flowing through a stream.

Among the things that makes me dream

are the mellow sunset’s final beam,

the misty cold winter’s eve,

the chilly wind’s silent scream,

the starry night’s silvery gleam,

the steaming hot coffee’s cream,

and my furry blanket’s woolen heat.
