A Dream in High Definition

In an airconditioned room

With big fluffy socks on your feet

And a Disney cup with hot tea.

Sitting behind a computer screen

Talking to a man of the dream.

Conversation is witty and smooth.

Holding hands

On the keys.

Locking eyes

On the screen.

But the world does not move

When you sit at the desk.

Your heart does not thump

And your knees don’t give up

When his lips are just pics on profile.

Take deep breath

Let your stomach churn out

Let butterflies flutter about

Leave the screen

Step up and step out

Touch the hands with the hands

Lock the eyes with the eyes

Kiss the lips.

Feel the knees go weak

When the head in a spin

And the world

Now moves at a speed.
