A Day at the Beach.

A day at the beach,

I’ve got sand everywhere,

My shoes, my hair, my clothes,

And somehow all over the floor.

I wash it away,

Thinking it’s gone,

But it still lingers,

In corners I missed,

And spaces I forgot.

As I wipe the sand off I realize,

How alike it is to grief.
