A broken book
Ishq aek shiksha hota hai,
(Infatuation is a lesson,)
mohabbat aek sapna,
(affection a dream,)
aur pyaar asha,
(and love a hope.)
Hope, the word felt foreign on her tongue
An emotion felt only when she was young.
Her sanity hung, her ears stung
The crowd gathered around her, as the final bell rung
In a room packed with people,
She felt completely feeble.
Back home she went, the treacherous walk to a dead end.
Back to where she was everyday, with not a soul in her way.
Many had envied her for her power,
To live and go unseen,
They did not know what it was to be concealed.
On she lived, youngest child eldest daughter,
Forever in the shadow of her eldest brother.
To live and go unseen,
She could not say she way keen.
A previous escape, books and tales,
Stories that gave her strength,
Oh what it was to live in a world where she would be seen,
The main character? Only in my dreams.
I want to be loved, I want to be seen,
I cannot continue to only dream.
To wait and think, is this worth it? Am I worth it?
Is love something one must be worthy of or something a human should have to survive? A broken book indeed, to think love is needed to survive,
Little did she know she had already begun falling to her demise.
