Slow
By Ritishree Parna Borah
slow, you entered into my life;
a life full of upturned bedlam, bleeding the last driblet of brain power.
normalcy, yet unattainable, unhinged in this pathetic milieu didn't seem
far fetched.
it was slow, it was sweet,
the unfurling of the kindness, the outstripping of aloofness.
it was something incomprehensible yet tangible,
yet being miles away.
slow everything was that i never saw the fast red light
racing to blind my eyes.
or maybe i was blind all the way along.
it was a drifting from your part,
a slow drift.
this time, it wasn't kindness that it propagated,
but a slow aching pain.
