“Tu sabki aankhon ka noor tha,

Main zindagi ki sham raha.


Tu hadein tod ba-izzat tha,

Main dayre mein bhi badnam raha.





Teri zindagi bhi guzri khushgawar,

Mera to marna bhi haram raha.


Tera zulm bhi masoom tha,

Mera Sabr bhi gunahgaar raha.”
