Once I cried

Then, I never loved.

Once I was honest

Then, I never said a word.

Once I believed

Then, I never dared.

Once I forgave,

But never did I forget.

Once I was hurt,

Kept my heart in the closet.

Once was the time,

When I was cold as ice.

Once I prayed,

I thawed with His grace.

Once I surrendered,

I was built a different person.

At once I was relieved,

The cuts and wounds healed

Once more I loved

Myself, with much gratitude.

Once more I found,

Divinity has no bound.
