Moon

By Shanvi

Moon has never shown this bright before

Washing away the sadness

And washing over my body

It seemed like every nook of the earth held some of the cold moonlight

Standing in the moonbeam I thought the moon was seeing me

At least I wish it was so

Under that ethereal glowing body

Under the influence of the that white moonglow

My heart ached so much

I thought I should cry but I couldn’t

And I have stared long enough at the moon

To see his pain and trace the linings of his wound

It was a beautiful night and life was still worth a try

The moon was holding me and I was loving him back.
