I was full of rage and he didn't ask why, he barely even noticed.

He was hurt and I stopped trying to understand why.

I wanted peace but not at the expense of settling.

There were things we didn't talk about, things I couldn't talk about,

and things he avoided.





I knew the way he held me wasn't the same and

It wasn't his fault.

It all happened and there isn't anyone to blame even though that's the easiest thing to do.

If I knew “us” wasn't a forever thing,

I wouldn't have ever looked into his eyes and said "I love you".
