Hope

By Saumya Sinha

When your dreams all fail

And we both get too frail

When love becomes our martyr

And the ship of wishes stay stuck at the harbor

That’s when u try to hold my hand

That’s when u don’t let moments slip like sand

But with all my withdrawal you just can’t seem to understand.

Is this a halt for a better run

Or start of an end

Are the words u hear something to believe in

Or just some pretty letters creating a delusion

Now you seek for the essence of us in the words that I write

I conceal these from your pure heart cuz I am only trying to protect you from the horrid sight

Will you be able to see the wrecked place where my demons hide?
