Where do I see myself in the future?
I’d like to be somewhere where the colours around me abduct my eyes,
A place where there’s golden glazed skies,
Where the smell of fresh rain lingers in my laughter,
The feeling of just being closer,
To a place where all my dreams lie,
Where the sound of birds chirping give me a high,
Stars scattered across the sky in wondrous sight,
It's just this sudden feeling of peace you get at midnight,
The sound of the breeze I need for me to ignite,
A place where there’s harmony in my life,
Where it’s just pure vibes and real smiles,
Fluffy clouds and orange sunrises,
Blue skies and warm sunshine,
Dreamy as this may sound,
It's out there that I’m homebound,
Golden tinted temples,
With heaven portals,
Euphoria gleamed across those faces,
Of the people who have found it,
Forever in the mist of jasmine flowers,
Scenery that leaves you breathless gasping for air,
To a place where there’s lively laughter,
Enchanted across its lifetime,
That would just be divine,
Musical chairs and festival lights,
Fireworks with their colours so bright,
Shorelines and fingers intertwined,
Blessed with crystalline moments,
To a place where the wind sings along with your fight,
Your fight against your own right,
Your fight against the world that holds you down so tight,
The need that makes you want to fly,
The need that you want to escape and move to the primetime,
Where are you to find a place that endures all,
To where your problems look small,
That you don’t even need a wake-up call,
But maybe I’m just riding for a fall,
Is it the culture I’m looking for?
Or is it the essence of purity and peace?
Is it the sculptures that give it beauty,
Or is the scriptures that describe this to its fair necessity,
Fragrance of mangoes and guavas,
Mouthwatering desserts and meals,
Warm steaming tea and lush green hills,
Melodies sung by birds staining my heart’s gleam,
A place where all your mornings start with roosters crowing,
And the bustling noise of the roads outside,
The smell of coffee slendering your thoughts for anything,
I just want to be satisfied,
Evenings spent walking on the terrace,
Staring at the glimmering sun rays slowly disappearing down the horizon.
It’s magical really,
To experience this daily,
To a place where I feel at home,
So that I don’t miss out major moments,
Or the feeling that I won’t be there in every component,
A place where loved ones won’t forget you,
Or even having the sense of that thought,
Where I won’t feel like time passes away too quickly,
Or even if it does at least I’ll still lie in this beauty,
Where do I see myself in the future?
I see myself indulged in my happiness,
I see myself making the most of each day,
I see myself be me without having the fear of judgement,
I see myself at peace with reality,
I see myself in a place I call,
