Everything is so our of reach like that red balloon that’s caught in that tree,

I remember the last time that I tried I was left with insecurities,

So I decided to exaggerate and tweak things just a little bit,

Until I shined and fell in love with a version of me that didn’t exist.

I’ve been trying so hard to make a better man of me.

And I’ve been trying so hard that I didn’t realise that I was terrible at it;

I’m relieved!

When you get to be born you get to live and get to die,

You find a place a chance to be more before you leave it behind,

Seeing people hide from unexpected things I’ve realised

that if only I face the world head on, I’ll feel alive.

Oh! I’m letting go!

Oh! I’m letting go!

Oh! I’m light as a feather!

Oh! I can be more!

Each morning you turn yourself into an overthinking snooze,

You fill yourself with what you think you’ve earned and what you don’t wish to lose,

But here’s the thing, when you’re already full

of smithereens and call them beautiful,

You’ll find that it’s hard and scary to embrace the truth,

You’ll also find that living a lie is worse!

Please spare this life, more importantly

spare yourself from living in agony,

And heal.
