Fear

By Jiah Zahid Abdulla

I wonder how I shall live,

In this world of worldly things.

I fear the eradication of humanity

With our very own hands.

I fear that one day,

This world will no longer be our home.

I fear the wars,

That are yet to come.

I fear that the clusters of starts,

Change into showers of flashing bombardments.

I fear my rights of freedom and happiness,

Will be denied.

I fear the destruction of my future,

That is no longer safe

But I just hope that in this world of chaos,

A child finds a mother.
