Blur

By Ibthisam I

Behind the screens of notion

Blur conceals and reveals

Between perplexity and precision

Beams of light sheen through broken deals

Barred of bold boundaries

Blending what is and what is not

Bewildering my eyes

Babbling heart, throat in a knot

Bothered by the unkept promises

Be choked on sweet nothings, lowly

But held back by what once was,

Bonnier memories come crashing slowly

Burning me gently, as I'm

Blindfolded in lies

Braided in sufferings sublime

Bathed in the cacophony of cries

Blurred fog is now clear

Believing in myself took forever

Being in pain is not something mere

Body keeps the score, and I quiver

Building my beaten backbone again

Blindfolded in hope

Braided in healing, to become sane

Bathed in scars I didn't deserve, I cope
