God

A small girl stands

Besides her father

Folded hands, curious eyes

I wonder if she knows

What does she do there?

Because he folds hands

She folds hands

Because he bends

She bends too

Because he touches the feet

She also touches the feet

Because he says a prayer

She repeats one too

Because he says God protect me

She echoes it too

In front of the idol of stone

With intense faith...

Will she ever know if God really is?
