In this world of modern-day love,

I yearn for something pure and true.

A slow-burn romance that's brand new.

I want to start from scratch, you see,

and fall in love with a stranger like me.

I want to know their every thought

and learn about the things they sought.

I'll bring them flowers, they'll write me letters,

and together, we'll build something better.

Let's propose to each other with paper rings,

a symbol of the love that we bring.

We'll talk about our hopes and dreams,

and everything in between.

No judgment, no fear, just you and me,

together, forever, our love will be.

I want to laugh till my belly aches

and see the twinkle in your eyes when you're awake.

I want to hold your hand under the table

and be there for you when you're not able.

Let's dance while we cook and have late-night talks,

in the kitchen, we'll make a thousand walks.

I'll sleep on your arm when I feel sleepy,

together we'll build memories that are creepy.

I want our love to be the fire that ignites,

the one that burns bright and shines bright.

A love that makes our children crave,

and be the kind of love they hope to save.

My definition of love might be bizarre,

but it's the kind of love that's pure, without a scar.

I want to be everything you need,

and you to be my heart's true lead.

I want to fall in love, with someone who understands,

someone who makes my heart skip a beat,

Let's fall in love slowly, but surely,

and be each other's everything, eternally and truly.
