This piece is my visual interpretation of anxiety — a reflection of how it feels and appears to me. It’s a glimpse into the overwhelming feelings that I experience in my daily life.

This piece was created using multiple medias. I used air-dry clay, acrylics, aluminum, hot glue, and a metal hairband for the sculpture. For the painting I used acrylic and hot glue for a 3D effect. I created this piece by rendering the oranges first with acrylic paints. Then, I embroidered the mold, leaving excess yarn so that when I later trimmed my embroidery it would have a fur like texture. This piece represents the paradoxical statement that “the only constant is change.” I wanted to explore how through life things all around grow and decay.
