The Scare

Once again the night will fall,

the already weary, scaring day's call.

I fathom even the dreadful thought,

what if I am the one, tonight caught.

The night, they say does not captures,

but the insides of darkness augment ruptures.

The one entangled is a misfit anywhere,

suffers the wrath of night, here and everywhere.

As the sun sets and I search solace,

I forward, with the dusk behind, race.

The more I run and farther escalate,

I can't tell the horizon yet it's my only mate.
