Stranger

By Donald Robinson Solanki

I wanted to live with all my heart,

For life to unfold with all the paths;

Rising sun to shine in the blue sky,

Cresent moon vanishing gloom in the night sky;

The windy mountains stretching high as it can,

The humid seas pushing low as it can;

The skies and shores, the seas and sand,

Revealing the meaning of life on this land;

Life is beautiful as it seemed to be,

Until I knew you existed as a being;

Your goodness was beyond that of the lakes,

Your wittiness incomparable to the people I see;

Your smile, the light-bringer to everyone around you,

Your love sweeter than life I knew;

The happiest days were the one with you,

The ones without you were worthless to groove;

The heart leads to dead end you say,

But my heart is already in your care;

Love it or not is in your judgement,

But loving you is already in my agreement;

The uncertain future with no hopes to bear,

The adventure of life flows on without delay;

As you cross the stone of age and life,

I wish you well for every moment ahead;

Let the past be your weapons and armour,

And the future, battlefield that you shall conquer;

Look around the world, God talks that way,

His creation containing knowledge like Bible's page;

The world can be the home you seek,

If not for that, your stranger will await you at the end of the life's peak.
