Regret

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

When regret sticks with you,

And gets you the blues,

Pick it up and throw it away,

Or you may always just sway,

Between ‘what could have been’ and ‘what is’,

Most of us play that quiz!

It isn’t worth taking that pain,

For dwelling on the past has no gain!

All you have is the present day,

To change things your way!

Some changes are hard as hell,

But it’s still better than how loud regret yells!

What’s done and over is gone,

There’s no point to hold on,

Remember you are the one to choose always,

Don’t let the past,

Regret,

Blur your present gaze!
