Name Game

By Akarshan Khatri

Rarely in life, someone walks in your frame...

And change the way you look at things, your experiences, the colours in them will now never be the same.

Like the torch you bear has found a new life, a new flame...

Suddenly you start noticing and appreciating your surroundings and not just blame.

The one who changes the rules, and sometimes the whole game...

Your vision finds a new light, you can now see clearer where you aim.

But, you fear that if the person leaves, these wild emotions running loose will be so hard to tame...

You know there is no going back, things will never be how they were before they came.

So, unable to claim, to hide away from shame...

You hide behind a happy face. Who truly, only smiles when someone calls their name.
