Life's Worth

By Harsh Casturi

It’s a mere apocalypse waiting to unfold beneath the heavy breath. Everything jolted inside the chest, heart’s racing and it’s the time for the most usurping moment of the life. Maybe of everyone’s life, so to say. The day results are going to be declared.

It starts with the most unnatural forms of laziness, wherein you are wide awake yet not in a mood to get off the bed. You feel like doing something and yet your mind revolves around the multiple-choice questions, trying to get hold of cutoffs and selection lists. Its like winning and losing are innate part of the life. You are just running to compete in the social circles and trying to win the world for approvals, of society and self. You go round and round over the sites, checking for various interpretations of the same. Everywhere you go later, it seems like the internet is trying to get you. Trying to get on your nerves through feeds and advertisements, news and much more. You try to distract yourself from the mere notion of pain and suffering through the notions of fruits of winning. Slowly you find yourself, in the circle of reverie, the one thing that does not seem to be disappointing in life. The reverie makes you go unimaginable lengths to showcase your different versions of a same moment, happened or about to happen, past or future, but costing your present. Well, in the present conditions of internet trying to get you and life about to unfold its wrath, it seems like a joyful option.

The reverie turns the morning to noon and you sit there wandering, each life choice that led to this place, this moment, where the ‘what ifs’ starts exploring the different paths of life. What if I studied a bit more, what if I didn’t go to that event, so on and so forth. The circle of regret has just made its way into the life.

Soon thereafter, the self-realization, so to say, a small resolution to give more efforts and do more starts its journey until the next result.

Doesn’t this path keep occurring. You make amends, you forget your amends and you go on the same journey in different times of life. A minor setback towards a success is very different than failing in the same way again and again. A minor setback in new explorations will tell you where you need to work on but failed amends and unsung victories of reverie will cause a permanent damage to your confidence and passion. There is an intricate relation between the results, confidence, smart approaches and self-realization.

To make a genuine effort will depend on the mentality you choose, the belief over yourself. Sometimes, the society around you may not notice your demeanor towards life, but you do. And to acknowledge the fact that your life choices are not just of a moment’s worth but of next 40 years to come. It will pave the way towards your travels, adventures, living style, living status and many more. It’s a hard pill to swallow at such a young age but not a difficult one. Only way to achieve everything is compartmentalization and time management. An approach to see life in an unattached yet attached way. To make most of each moment and also moments to come. You don’t have to reserve for everything today, but hold true to your amends and resolutions, hold true to your promises to self and your soul. Because those hold your life’s worth.
