Dear Me

Dear me from the past,

I know you are at the point where something unexpected happened and you are in complete denial. I won’t say it will be easy because it is not. There will be days where you feel like nobody understands what you went through. There will be days where you just get these panic attacks out of nowhere. There would be thoughts probably questioning your existence and is it worth living? There will be days where you feel like lying on the bed and absolutely doing nothing. There will be days when you will be uncomfortable with your loved ones too.

Did we survive? Well, I am sitting here writing you this letter, so yeah, we did survive. We are not the same anymore but that is good too. You have the courage to overcome this and any obstacle we will be facing in the future.

Because, I saw it, I saw us struggling but overcoming. You are strong enough, don’t shy away from asking for help. Most importantly, be your own help. There will be days when people tell you to forget things, but remember it is impossible. You will reach a point in life where it just doesn’t affect you so much. You can smile too.

We got to know a lot about people who are struggling and people who are helping. The world isn’t as bad as we thought it’d be. We made it, we are still struggling but I know this shall pass too.

We enjoy the calmness, loneliness, and how beautiful spending time with ourselves is. Today, we are ready to turn the page. So, here is to us and us only. Keep fighting and remember “This shall pass too”.
