Black And Grey

Dr. Shruti Pandey

Myriad of colours

at display

I was torn

between black and grey.

Love was never

my forte

Crimson did beckon

but I couldn't stay.

Nurturing arms of

majestic green

My life wasn't

destined to be serene.

The joyous yellow

did arrive

A stark contrast

to my gloomy life.

The tranquil white

did forsee

The raging storm

my life would be.

Then I stumbled

across grey.

To its charms

I couldn't fall prey.

Black eventually drenched

my soul

Shadow of death

did take its toll.

Bidding my farewell

I smiled

And surrendered myself

to the unknown wild.
