Anyone But Me

By Dr Mridhula R Menon

Mine mind wanders

Random thoughts

Meaningless actions

Yes, I know you would say

It is all so lame

Escapism of sorts

I know it so

And don’t deny

I have known for long

Won’t deny ..

For why would I?

Would take the blame for all my flaws

May not be loud,

When I do take that fall

But in the silence, I secretly agree

That it’s all my fault

In time you will see

That I have always known

None I blame for what I did

I crib and I whine

Bitter may I seem

Swear at the world,

But not for once I blame

Anyone but me
