Past

By Mili Mahajan

Somewhere the past lives

Not just in the threads of my memories

But where it breathes

Beyond the walls of time

Beyond the logical locked doors

Where it has all the colours which I'd spread back then

Still fresh

A place as distant as the moon

I can't touch it

Maybe it just breathes in my lungs

Or thrown away somewhere in the chambers which remain locked

Or calms my senses

An escape from the dark palace l've built for me now

But somewhere it waits

Beyond everything...

Maybe awake
