Moon

By Akanksha Acharya

My heart breaks with every death,

that takes a loved one away.

It crumbles in sorrow, shivers in fear

wondering who is going to be next.

I wish, I pray for better health

for everyone left behind.

I wish, I pray for peacefulness,

for the parted souls ahead.

I know we’ll meet, one fateful day.

No one knows when that is.

But when we do, I hope we smile

and enjoy together forever bliss.
