Love

By Aditya Mallick

You fell in love deeply

Lost yourself with the breeze.

And you could only sense strength

Climb upon your sleeves.

But maybe you hadn't been taught

That the wind eventually stops to flow.

When the promises due on it

Are too hard to carry anymore.

You left the dty wondering

What made the dazzling strength break.

That the arms which once had it

Could only now shiver and ache.

As if a part of you has finally learned

And yet forgotten what it really means.

How those that make us the most powerful

Make us the most weak.
