Hurt

By Yugadya Dubey

Yeah, I knew I was hurt,

But I guess it was of worth.

I never paid attention to your warnings,

Now see where it is leading.

I took the orders lightly,

And thought of myself so mighty.

Little did I know,

This feeling of hatred will eventually grow.

I never listened to you,

And did my own too.

So do I now pay the price,

with my glistened eyes?
