Hope

Updated: Dec 2, 2022

By Ramilyn Delposo

Do not fear the darkness;

It does not last,

For light always follows

And it is brighter

When you face the dark with courage.

So from today on, go out

Embrace the dusk

Leave your sorrows

In the alcoves of your home.

Look at the horizon,

Gaze at the star-studded sky

And stand there, enamoured.

Listen to the night beasts

As they welcome the darkness

With hope in their hearts

That a dazzling dawn

Awaits the next morn.
