Coloured Vision

By Karthika Rajan

An artist A madman A creature of infinite wilderness Hot poison in the loins Like music in solitude An inner eye flame permanently aglow In the shadows of midnight's lull

A pride that makes you so fiercely, roar Framed by a delicate spine Puzzled by fate A coldness in the heart That turns on and off like a security fence Darling, what fires in you I pray It shall stay the hell away from me.
