Ceased In Time

Updated: Mar 13

By Saumya Sinha

Years go by, fashion change

New people come along, the familiar faces fade

Even the reflection in the mirror is not the same

Neither the one across these high walls

But I stay here maintaining the same old convention

Keeping this ton like your retrospection

Like everything held right there since the day you forgot

And this ghostly palace forever stays the same waiting for you to come along

With a frozen Queen and her ageing crown

In hopes her King remembers her again

She waits with time and keeps everything alike

Even after the heaven pities and takes her life.
