A quiet settles between us, a stillness in the air.
Words unspoken, a shared silence, a weight we both bear.
They say it's the relentless march of time, the turning of the page,
That leaves us hushed, disconnected on life's vast stage.
Each beat within my chest echoes a lingering ache,
A shadow clinging to the joy I try to make.
And yet, a stubborn whisper rises from the depths within,
A fragile urging to embrace the life that still can begin.
"Live a little," it implores, a gentle, persistent plea.
“Taste the moments, breathe them in, and finally break free."
O you who walk beside me, my kindred spirit, my confidant true,
Draw nearer, let us shed this quietude, and truly see life anew.
This journey, yes, it carries burdens, sharp edges that can sting,
But even in the depths of sorrow, a quiet comfort can spring.
The knowledge that in this world, a connection can reside,
A belonging, an understanding where two souls can abide.
Why then these fractured pathways between the beating heart?
Why this reluctance to embrace the living, to play a vital part?
Let us unlock the chambers where vulnerability resides,
And if tears must fall, let them flow, where honesty presides.
Let us choose to live a little, to savor what remains,
To rise above the shadows, to wash away the stains.
O you who share this journey, let your voice join with mine,
Step closer, hand in hand, and let our spirits intertwine.
Allow the clouds of sorrow to drift and disappear,
Let the brilliance of existence become vividly clear.
Let us open ourselves to feeling, to laughter, and to light,
And choose, with every breath we take,
To truly live,
With all our might.
