Like a cliff amidst the ocean

That stands tall & still

All alone & isolated

It braves the sweltering heat & frigid chill


Like a cliff amidst the ocean

That stands firm & strong

Unruffled by the perilous waves

Unperturbed by the seagulls that throng


Like a cliff amidst the ocean

I stand undaunted by the endless travail

I endure undeterred in the face of adversity

Like the unfaltering cliff, I am on a relentless quest to prevail
