The Becoming

I wanted to quench my thirst

Thirst of knowing,

And meaning,

And becoming.

I was all wet in the sea

Yet, it could not quench it

In that vast sea of caging words,

I dived into the deepest valleys beneath

There I found a fountain of sweetest thing,

Quenched—I returned world a wise being

It is not that now I know everything

It is just that delusion of perfection passed

And now I know there is nothing to know

And of meaning, it came to me from me

When me of my childhood visited me of now

Me told me what I was and will be forever.

On the board I moved the bishop

Into the center…

Hence, the becoming.
