Lost But Found

By Shivani Jignesh Shah (Gala)

The happy, the joyful, the cheerful me;

Searching for her, where did she flee?

An emptiness, a loneliness creeping in,

Her pain within nobody has seen.

Her dreams, her wishes got deep within buried,

Because she always for others worried.

But as the time is passing by,

Wisdom has opened her eye.

The supressed wishes are a past,

The sorrow of which will not last;

If today we build a new vision

And work on a different mission.

Live as if you are going to die tomorrow, they say,

Is what motivates me to live each day.

Acceptance and forgiveness is the key

From the worldly disturbances to be free.

But valuing youself is also a must,

So prioritise youself first.

We never know when our journey will end,

So first let's be our own best friend.

Spreading love and joy is possible

only if we have them within us,

So to enlighten every life, loving yourself is a must.

So wanted to spread this message to you all

Before life really takes its toll.

Lets today itself take a pledge,

Because we all have something to fetch.

The real me, the true me whom I have buried deep within,

Hoping her soon to be seen.
