26 نومبر2008  کو ہوئے ممبئ حملوں پر لکھی  گئی نظم                                                       

   لہولہان ممبئی

چھبیسں نومبر کی رات ہوئی سوگوار ممبئ

   خون کی   ہولی سے    ہوئی   زخم دار ممبئ     

     تاج ،اوبیرائے، نریمن ہاؤس یرغمالی 

     تھم گئی دہشتوں سے  برق رفتار ممبئ

      بارودی دھماکوں   کے شعلوں میں لپٹی 

   بندوق کی  گولیوں سے  غبار غبار  ممبئ 

  ہیںمنت ،کامٹے  ،سالسکر ، اُنّی  جیسے  ویر

  جیالوں کی شہادت سے اشک بار ممبئ 

بے گناہ  معصوم شہریوں  کے قتلِ عام

   اور سیاحوں کے خون سے زیرِ بار ممبئ 

   دامنِ بحر   میں بسی یہ معاشی    راجدھانی 

سیاسی رہنماؤں کی نااہلی سے شرمسار ممبئ

 غم وغصّہ ، آنسو اور آہوں کا دردناک ترنّؔم 

خدارا  اب کبھی نہ ہو پھر سے  تار تار ممبئ
