Healing.

It is not pretty.

It is your ruins bearing flowers one day

Only for the next batch to decay

It is the sun. stars and moon in your sky

Only for the clouds to take away their light

It is being able to catch yourself

Only to stumble and fall once more

It is flying, soaring, reaching new heights

Only to find yourself on the floor

But enough with the metaphors.

Healing is a process.

It is hot showers which may last your entire playlist

It is eating healthy even when you don’t feel like it

It is finding strength in one song, which could also bring you to tears

And it is being strong enough to face all your fears

It is being confident enough to break yourself down

So that you put yourself back together, but not on the first attempt.

Healing is not pretty.

Healing is beautiful.

Healing is worth it.
