Doggo's Tale

By Isha Sankhala

Hush and slush roads, with only a few cars and fewer people walking by, The place where we walk since childhood is a little away from our homes near by, To reach we had to pass through silent roads followed by a long lane, To reach safe and quick was our only aim, While considering our options at 12am, Entered the doggo wagging its tail and a smiling game, Standing next to us in the so known lane, Right then we looked at each other and she Held my hand in fear and disdain, To scare her with a folklore was a fun game, A few abuses and giggles my way was a usual blame, Gathered our courage to show our bravery, Walked along the roads with god's name,

Right then, we found 2 guys passing our way, Asked for a favour and they obliged right away, Doggo still with us as if leading the way, Talking to the guys it made us say, Juniors and a little chat helped pass our way, Doggo playing along and was sweet enough to obey, The juniors left us at a safe stay, The doggo still had his doubts, followed along as if trying to protect our way , Until we reached our buildings and then he ran away, So that's how we found a sweet Doggo on our way!
