Choices

By Smriti Suba

Have you ever

Been there

The place where

You've got to make

A tough choice?

If yes, then you know

There are two voices in you

One is in your heart

The other undoubtedly is

Your mind's voice.

There's only one to choose

The one you choose

Is your path

The other is just

An unwanted noise.

If no, then you've

Probably never grown up

Still in a bubble

Living a life of

Little girls and boys.

The reasons that put you here

Are those broken promises

That would've been mended

Only if they were

A toddler's broken toys.

Make the right choice

Cause in the end it's you

Who's got to bear the sorrows

And smile at those

Temporary joys.
