Change Is Nature

Caption Of Artwork: I created this piece by rendering the oranges first with acrylic paints. Then, I embroidered the mold, leaving excess yarn so that when I later trimmed my embroidery it would have a fur like texture. This piece represents the paradoxical statement that “the only constant is change.” I wanted to explore how through life things all around grow and decay. I wanted to depict time with a material I had little experience. The 3D element of the thread is to accentuate the change the orange experiences.
