Serenity of the sea By Pari Berlin The roar of the waves in the distance Deep, resounding and pure White tipped foam like delicate lace Churns up from the ocean floor A mirrored reflection Of the clouds and the sky The monotony broken only By the ships that sail by I sit on the shore, watching and listening My soul is at peace, I can breathe my heart is full, as the waves gently lap the shore Like diamonds glistening I take a picture in my mind To carry back with me When life gets tough and I need a break I can return once more - to the serenity of sea.
